Over the years I’ve shot a number of walleye tournaments. The past year I was part of the camera crew for the Cabela’s NWT championship in Devils Lake, North Dakota. I spent the final 2 days of the tournament in Mark Courts boat.
A lot of times when I’m a part of the shoot, but not the edit, I never see the finished product. In April of this year, I was in Aberdeen SD for an interesting and cold shoot for “The Outfitters”. Here is part of it that I found on youtube. It was a 2 camera shoot and I was running 1 of them.
Back in 2009 I had the privilege to work on the In-Fisherman Ice Guide television series. After the initial 13 week run, the series would rerun the following 13 weeks. During the rerun period a new outreach program called Hunt. Fish. Feed. was developed and needed to be promoted. In order to get the promotion into an Ice Guide program, it needed to replace an existing edit. It became one of my favorite segments. Here it is.
I was having a hard time deciding if I should make one demo reel or several highlighting different skill sets. In the end, I decided I should make several. Was it the right decision? You tell me.
